Daniel Wylie – Managing Director –

Daniel Wylie - Director of Aldanat Care

Daniel was one of the youngest care providers in the country in 2008 when Aldanat Care was first established. Now at just 29, he already has a wealth of experience in delivering a care service within differing sectors. Daniel started his caring career at a very young age, volunteering at weekends and school holidays in a care home for people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health problems. At 16 he had left school and commenced an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, which at 17 would allow him to pursue a professional qualification as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) at university. Daniel has an eye for business and a love for care, and has been recognised for his entrepreneurial and caring attributes by winning various awards. Daniel is Sole Owner of Aldanat Care’s Supported Living and healthcare services, he is also founder of The Care Providers Network, an organisation that gives local care providers and authorities the opportunity to meet, share best practice and experience. Director of the Essex Care Association and board member for The Essex Employment and Skills Board. When not at work you will find Daniel on a Race Track or enjoying time with his family.

Natalie Wylie – Director of Mental Health Services-

Natalie, sister to Daniel was also introduced to care at a very young age, working weekends as a volunteer whilst pursuing her career as a legal secretary in the city.  At 27 Natalie decided law wasn’t for her and joined Daniel at university where they successfully completed their training and qualified as Registered Nurses (Mental Health). Natalie went onto to work in various care environments and has a wealth of experience in coordinating and delivering care. She holds some very special attributes which are recognised by the people she cares for. A young lady with so much love, care and passion on offer, she has the ability to build strong relationships with the most complex of people.

Alan Irwin – Non Exec Director and Clinical Lead

Alan started his career in engineering, forging a career that ultimately developed into a management role. Alan felt he had so much more to give and decided to pursue a career in Mental Health Nursing at university, passing his Nursing Diploma with distinction and having his final assignment published in a professional journal. Alan went on to work in various care environments and eventually worked in a community based Assertive Outreach team where he met Natalie during one of her placements. In 2007 with Daniel and Natalie’s plans developing, Alan moved to become Registered Manager at Seaview House where the three worked together to form Aldanat Care. Alan’s kind nature and fantastic nursing and leadership skills have played a crucial part in the development of Aldanat’s fantastic reputation. Alan has a very calm caring nature which is evident even when managing the most challenging of situations. Alan decided to retire from company director in 2016 and has been appointed as a Non – Exec director and clinical lead.

Karen Carter – Director of Operations 

Karen has over 16 years experience in working in both residential and the majority in managing supportive supportive living services for people with complex needs. Karen came over to Aldanat Care in 2012 initially as a service manager and has progressed to Operations Manager. Karen oversees the running of all Services. Karen has an interest in behaviour and vast knowledge around managing behaviours that challenge in a positive way. Karen supports all the team leaders and delivers Aldanat Cares bespoke Person Centred Training programme. She aims to apply to Tizard University in Kent later this year to study Positive Behaviour Support

Del PhotoDerrick Smith – Trainee Psychologist – Compliance Manager

Derrick has been with Aldanat care since 2013 where he has worked as a Team leader in several complex needs services. Derrick is now working alongside Daniel and Karen and manages Aldanat Cares Compliance.

Derrick comes with vast experience of administration duties and IT skills gained from a personal love of technology. Derrick spent several years as a security guard at a shopping centre where he learned customer service and the basic running of an office. Later Derrick went on to train as Police Constable for Essex Police where he was trained and gained many new skills from investigation and interviewing techniques, Preparation of case files ready for court, a knowledge of the law and the second nature of using  e-communications and  many other assistive technologies. Derrick is training to be a Psychologist at open university and is able to use some of his techniquires within the company.

Having over 11 years’ experience working in challenging and complex services, Derrick is more than capable of stepping back out of the office and assisting hands on when needed.

Robert Johns – Behaviour Advisor – RMN

Rob’s primary professional qualification is, Registered Mental Nurse. He has further postgraduate qualifications in Social Learning Theory & Practice and in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and has been the Company’s Behaviour Advisor since March 2015. Rob also has extensive senior management experience from working 24 years in the NHS, and is able to make good use of this background to advise on policy and future direction.
